80 Days

It has been 80 days since Dan's last Jeopardy show aired. Sony gives themselves up to 120 days to mail you a check. No one knows why this is. It made some sense in the era of live game shows, but we've now known that Dan made six figures on the show since October and haven't seen a dollar, and it's been a very strange financial frame of mind.

We're also living slightly above our means right now because of the payments on the new car, which ordinarily we would not be able to afford. This means our savings account, which was once pretty decent, has been dwindling as we transfer money over to keep everything going. Our online banking page makes me more anxious than it used to.

As soon as that check clears, it's going to be wild and crazy over here - would it be weird to hold a party to celebrate paying off over $55,000 in debt with a couple of mouse clicks? Just thinking about it makes me giddy. Until then, we'll keep checking the mail. Come on, Sony.
