: Cruise Ship LawInjured man airlifted to Tampa hospital from cruise ship
By Lipcon, Margulies & Alsina, P.A.
A 46-year-old man was evacuated from a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter Saturday night, authorities said. Andrew Spicer needed further treatment after he suffered undisclosed injuries after falling from a Holland America cruise ship, the Coast Guard said. Spicer was taken to Tampa General Hospital. His condition was not available Sunday. After being contacted by ship officials, the Coast Guard launched a Jayhawk rescue helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater around 7 p.m. The crew arrived at the ship, which was about 120 miles southwest of St. Petersburg, around 8. Spicer's hometown was not released.
