: FinancialCounselEccleston Law Launches Investigation into Wachovia Broker Team, Harrison/Sawyers Financial Services
By James Eccleston
On December 15, 2010, the SEC announced a civil injunction action against William K. Harrison (?Harrison?) and Eddie W. Sawyers (?Sawyers?) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Harrison and Sawyers were registered representatives of Wachovia, and did business as Harrison/Sawyers Financial Services.
The SEC alleged that between December 2007 and October 2008, Harrison and Sawyers used misrepresentations and omissions to defraud at least 42 investors who were Wachovia brokerage customers of at least $8 million. Harrison and Sawyers began offering their Wachovia Customers an investment opportunity that they misrepresented carried a guaranteed return of 35%, with no risk of loss to principal.
Unfortunately, the pair engaged in a risky options trading strategy which initially was successful, but then lost substantial amounts of investor money.
If you have lost money investing with William Harrison or Eddie Sawyers of the Harrison/Sawyers Financial Services group of Wachovia, your losses may be recoverable through arbitration. Contact Jim Eccleston at the Eccleston Law Offices at 312-332-0000 to discuss your case.
