Some Days It's Good to be the Bankruptcy Attorney!

She's also gotten past the pre-filing jitters and the post-filing jitters.

She's survived her first meeting of creditors.

And she's getting a discharge of about a million dollars worth of debt.

She dropped in to give me a thank you card and a gift basket with goodies for my bankruptcy paralegal, Heidi the Bankruptcy Angel, and my associate, Nina the Unpronounceable.

There was chocolate in the basket.

Some days it's good to be the Arizona bankruptcy lawyer!

I have the nicest bunch of clients on the planet. I just got off the phone with a very nice, very smart woman who had been sued, along with her husband, by her trustee on a preference theory. Sadly, I can't control the actions of a trustee or his lawyer, even if I disagree with their view of the law. But with a smart client who understands the facts, the law and the situation, I can still work to minimize damage and trauma by shaping a settlement that's as easy to swallow as possible.

It makes my job much easier to have such good clients. That's why I like my practice.
