Attorney Traumatic Brain Injury Program

By Michael Kaplen

ADVERTISEMENTS

I'm traveling to Chicago today to participate as a speaker at the American Association for Justice, Traumatic Brain Injury Program designed to educate attorneys on how to effectively represent victims of brain trauma.

The program scheduled for May 20 and May 21 at the Hotel Allegro in Chicago Illinois will cover areas such as Brain Function, Injury and Neuropathology.  It will also address the major mechanisms of brain trauma and the most frequent symptoms found after a TBI.

Important evidence issues including use of a neurologist, biomechanical engineer and life care planner in a brain damage case will also be discussed.

My topic for presentation at the conference is on Brain Injury Symptomatology.  I will be discussing issues such as headache, amnesia, executive functioning, fatigue and sleep disturbance.  I will also be discussing the important issue of loss of consciousness and the various definitions of mild traumatic brain injury and concussion.
