"U.S. SUPREME COURT, REINSTATES CLASS ACTION SUIT THAT ACCUSES ALLSTATE OF ROUTINELY REFUSING TO PAY INTEREST WHEN IT IS LATE WITH A BENEFIT PAYMENT"

By Michael Stevens

ADVERTISEMENTS

The salami technique of lots of little slices and thus skimming a small sum of money over a large number of times can produce large amounts in the end.  What do I mean.  Skim a few cents from each transaction and then multiply the number of transactions ad infinitum and you can get big bucks.  And by only taking a small sum from each you actually decrease the chances of getting caught.

However, SCOTUS has put the salami to the test as it reinstates a class action suit against Allstate Insurance Company.  Allstate was/is accused of routinely refusing to pay interest on late payments.  Financially, that can add up to some big bucks on an interest free loan.

A little here, a little there, and soon or later you are talking big money.
