Avandia Lawsuit Settlements Georgia Attorneys/Lawyers

By Mark Zamora

ADVERTISEMENTS

My firm is investigating claims that Avandia may be to blame for causing a heart injury.

Avandia was hailed by manufacturer GlaxoSmithKlein as a safe and effective way to treat Type II diabetes. By making the body more sensitive to the effects of insulin, it offered a way to treat diabetes in patients who had become resistant to the action of the insulin their bodies were producing.

Many claim that the manufacturer failed to disclose to patients the increased risk of suffering the  Avandia side effects, some of which resulted in the deaths of patients who had been taking this medication. These side effects are claimed to include:

  • Congestive heart failure

  • Myocardial Infarction and other types of heart attack and heart failure

  • Sudden weight gain and spikes in blood pressure

  • Stroke

  • Liver toxicity

  • Allergic reactions

  • Fractures of the bones in the hands, feet and arms

Call us as our firm is investigating this drug. 404-451-7781, Mark@markzamora.com
