Daylight Saving Time Begins Earlier in 2007

By Michael Progar

ADVERTISEMENTS
Beginning this year, Daylight Saving Time will commence three weeks earlier and end one week later than in previous years. This comes about as a result of Congress' enactment of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which will take effect on March 1, 2007.

Daylight Saving Time will now commence at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of March, rather than the first Sunday of April, and will end at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of November, instead of the last Sunday in October.

This change may affect computers and other electronic devices that would normally recognize the start of Daylight Saving Time. When you go to bed on Saturday, March 10 this year, be sure to set your clocks AHEAD one hour.
