: Bowling Green Personal Injury LawyerZatarain?s Rice Mix Recalled
By Chrissie Cole
Certain packages of Zatarain's Rice Mix have been recalled because they contain undeclared wheat and barley ingredients. People who have allergies to these ingredients run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reactions.
The recall involves Zatarain's Original Dirty Rice Mix with UPC Code 7142909535 and a "BEST BY" date of JAN 19 12H.
To date, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported in connection with the recall. No other Zatarain's products are involved.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product was mispackaged, and as a result, the ingredient statement on the package did not list wheat and barley as an ingredient.
The company has also issued an alert through the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network.
