Patent Attorney - Small Corporation - Reston, Va.

Bluestone Innovations LLC (BSI) is seeking an in-house patent counsel who wants to work in dynamic business environment, especially in patent-related transactions.

BSI, a startup venture in Reston, VA is an invention capital company. BSI has secured the first round funding to start up the company activities including acquisition, licensing and enforcement. BSI has a business model to focus on a specific area of technology where it has knowledge and experience and has created networks of recourses.

The in-house patent counsel currently BSI is seeking will be one of the startup members who foresee working in a high-demand/high-risk startup venture, but possibly receiving high-return for her/his contribution and dedication.

Responsibilities:
? Drafting, reviewing and negotiating patent licensing agreements.
? Drafting and reviewing claim charts.
? Participating in direct negotiations with customers.
? Responding to non-infringement and invalidity arguments.
? Working together with outside counsels and managing patent actions.
? All other general matters related to a startup company.

Qualifications:
A patent attorney who has:
? 3~5 years of in-house and/or law firm experience in patent practice (preferably litigation management).
? Bachelor?s degree in any science and engineering subject (preferably materials science).
? J.D. with license to practice in at least one state (preferably Virginia).
? Registered to practice before the USPTO.
? Experience in drafting claims charts.
