The Dechert downsizing in the real estate group is a sign of things to come, to be sure, but just how many of the 13 associates who received the email telling them the finance and real estate group would not be needing them have been ‘reallocated’ among other, more prosperous and busy divisions of the firm?
The email went to associates in several offices and is the sort we imagine is being prepared by numerous other firms as the real estate crunch follows its credit crunch parent.
