Final Fantasy VI Advance and Leap Year

A few days ago, a friend of mine from undergrad was able to win me a copy of Final Fantasy VI Advance for the Game Boy Advance (it was originally released in North America in 1994 as Final Fantasy III). This re-lease is going to have everything about the original game plus some added extras here and there.

While I do not play video games as much as I used to, I definitely will say that Final Fantasy III/VI has got to be one of the greatest games that I have ever played. While I have finished it countless times in almost every imaginable way possible (albeit the exception of not learning any magic), I still never get tired of it. The story, dialogue, game play, leveling up, etc? all made Final Fantasy III/VI one of my favorite games ever. Plus it has one of the greatest bad guys ever in the history of video games (the only thing worse than a bad guy is a bad guy who's also funny and makes you laugh).

The other thing that I love doing with Final Fantasy III/VI is to change the character?s names to that of my friends. While this did not affect the game at all (and I am glad that it does not), it is always fun to put in names of my friends because it just made the story a bit more interesting and entertaining. Nothing says fun like watching Jarvis and his friends save the world.

Sorry for the pointless Blog. Since it is leap year day, I just wanted to post something on February 29, 2008, just for the sake of saying that I once Blogged on a leap year. Besides, I won?t be able to do this again until 2012.
