CCA Judge Meyers Running for Re-Election

Judge Lawrence Meyers has issued a press release signaling his intention.Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Judge Lawrence ?Larry? Meyers announced today the re-appointment of Austin Attorney Rick Wetzel as his campaign treasurer, in the first step of Meyer?s re-election announcement. Meyers will seek re-election to a fourth term. Having first been elected in 1992, Meyers is the Court?s longest serving member and has been the senior judge on the Court for 10 years. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals is Texas' highest court for criminal cases and has the heaviest caseload of any appellate court in the United States.
