By Richard Binder
Federal prosecutor Ken Julian is leaving the U.S. Attorney's Office. He has spent the last 11 and a half years as a federal prosecutor, eight in Orange County. During that time he has tried 15 federal cases, all of which resulted in convictions. Tomorrow is his last day, and then he will become a partner in the Los Angeles-based firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. He will be setting up a white collar criminal defense practice in the firm's Costa Mesa office, and begins there June 30.
He talks to the OC Register about his participation in the Mike Carona case, calling it a "good, old-fashioned slug fest."
