The Official Start of Barbri

ADVERTISEMENTS
The first day of barbri was a bit like the first day of school. It's been 2 weeks since graduation so there was a lot to catch up on with friends and there were lots of new faces, which I assume are students from the other Useless state law school, out of state students, or attorneys who are unlucky enough to not get reciprocity into Useless state. Also in the usual first day of school fashion, there really was no point to the day, no important information, no learning, bascially just a waste of time.

So what was the first day of bar prep then you ask? Well, Mr. Barbri dude lectured for 1.5 hours on the rules of barbri lectures (no video taping, make up policies, etc), lectured for 45 mins on the format of useless state bar exam, and spent the last hour lecturing on the general study schedule/strategy that barbri suggests we follow for the next 8 weeks. Ironically ALL of that information was given to us in a nicely typed 5 page handout. Yes, Mr. Barbri dude lectured for a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes from a 5 page packet that we all had read in its entirety during the first 10 minutes of the morning. Which means that my first offical day of bar prep was spent making pretty color coded tabs for my bar prep books, organizing my study schedule for the next 8 weeks and taking far too many of those silly Facebook quizzes.

Thankfully tomorrow is a performance test workshop, so hopefully that'll be more useful than today's lecture, stay tuned!
