Attorney Hates His Web Site

It’s the better part of a year ago, and I’m in a courtroom. Not to worry; I’m sitting in the gallery.

The judge looks like a million bucks. She might be on Boston Legal; if she were, Alan Shore would have a new goal in life — seduce justice.

The prosecuting attorney looks like he earns $20K a year. He bought his suit at Macy’s; he pays $12 for a haircut; he bought those shoes way too long ago. 

The defense attorney is impressive. With his silver hair, golden cufflinks, and plenty of expensive garb, he looks as if he’s very experienced and successful.

The case is about whether the accountant for a small business embezzled her employer. 

I’m in the gallery with 60 others; we’re the jury pool.

The judge introduces the players — the accountant and her counsel, and the prosecutor.

By the time she’s done, the jury has formed some impression of the players.
