Let me just say that any sort of movement requiring muscle is painful for me right now. I CAN FEEEELLLLLL THE BURN.
And so I'm just popping in to say that perhaps, maybe, I'm not sure but fingers crossed, we found a fabulous place to live. That said it has some hoops to jump through (Hoop # 1: Convincing BISMOW we must have it right now) and really, until my check is cashed, I've signed on the dotted line & have a set of keys in my hand, I'm not holding my breath. Partly because that requires muscle movement and partly because, yeah, I'd be blue and dead with no apartment. That and when they put Viking professional series appliances in the model unit it just totally isn't fair. It isn't fair one bit. However apparently the gorgeous tile work is standard throughout and I think maybe in one of the units I lovingly caressed the tile. Just for a second. Then I focused my attention on the whirlpool tub & the double sink in the master bath, which I have been told is the key to happy marriage. Keep your toothpaste spit separate they say. Or my Mother says. Someone with more wisdom in the matter than me.
(Oh and for all of you out-of-towners out there, yes it has a second bedroom. I think it is bigger than my current living room. And a guest bath which I do solemnly swear to stock with good products & cushy toilet paper.)
Perhaps tomorrow I will have moved on to bigger & better apartment dreams and wants and desires, (or brought down to reality by one of the many hoops made for jumping through to prove that you can in fact pay your rent with more than lint & oh by the way, are you ever featured on the evening news and sign on the x for the DNA sample and your Father's social security number and then maybe we will consider letting you and your Nancy Drew collection live here) but for tonight this little chicken is dreaming of an accidental Viking upgrade (Oh you installed it in this unit by accident? That's ok, we can live with it!) and an in-unit washer and dryer.
(Oh yes, I collect Nancy Drew books. The old ones. My Mom started it as a game to keep me happy when she went antiquing, and then I loved them and found some old rare editions and now I have the entire collection in the 1950's yellow jacket and about 10 of the old blue tweeds with dust jackets and don't even think about mocking Nancy. Her Dad convinced me being a lawyer was cool & Nancy made being smart not such a bad thing. Thanks Carson! Oh and it also made me want a housekeeper just like Hannah Gruen but my Mom said no. The end.)
