: Mike Conaway's BlogServing you in the District
As the second largest Congressional district in the state, the 11th District of Texas encompasses 36 counties, 650,000 people, 36,000 square miles, and, as the folks in Stanton call them, ?a few old soreheads.? Driving across the district in one day is hard enough, let alone representing each and every citizen in the United States House of Representatives. Yet Congressman Conaway does just that with the help of five outstanding District offices that span from the windswept plains of Midland and Odessa to the rolling hills of the Texas hill country.
The role of each District office is to serve as the liaison between the people and their federal government. This includes concerns regarding a number of federal agencies such as Social Security, Immigration and Naturalization, Housing and Urban Development, and Veterans Affairs. Learn about each office after the jump.
