: Information OverloadRouken Glen Park
By scott
A bit of a different post from me today - yes, no rss feeds from Andorra or the like. Calm yourselves.
Anyway, an old school friend’s children - Mia & Sam - entered a competition to write about fun places to go in Scotland and their entry about their local park, Rouken Glen Park has been shortlisted for the final. Their school will pocket ??5000 if they win, and as Eaglesham is a wee village (they need the cash), they need to muster some support from far and wide, so I have pledged to do my bit by bigging them up on my blog.
The voting is online here, and so all I ask is that you visit and cast a vote for Mia and Sam, and their school. All those who do vote will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win ??1000 of Red Letter Day Vouchers.
In the words of my friend (Merry Xmas, by the way, Tom) “in my mind’s eye I have visions of the end of It’s A Wonderful Life where everyone rallies round to save the day”
If that isn’t enough to make you vote, I don’t know what is.
