Use the letters O and J in a sentence. You might get "fifteen-plus years."
OK that doesn't really make sense but you get the idea. O.J. Simpson, who was so cute running through the airport in those ads (today, "doing an OJ in the airport" would mean something quite different!) was sentenced today for his role in a kidnap/burglary/armed robbery gig. See O.J. Simpson Sentenced to 17 1/2 Years, Stephen M. Silverman, People (December 5, 2008), and just about every other media outlet. Because THIS is NEWS!
Meanwhile across the pond our Boy George was found guilty of false imprisonment which, to the male escort chained to the wall of Mr. George's apartment, must have seemed quite real! See Boy George GUILTY of Naked Chain Beatdown, TMZ Staff (who else?), TMZ (December 5, 2008). No sentence yet, but we smell bad karma for this chameleon.
The fallout from the MySpace case is already upon us. Lindsay Lohan violated MySpace's TOS! Apparently several false LiRos populated the site. But Lindsay Ronson wasn't one of them -- she was the real deal. Trouble is, "Ronson" isn't her real last name, yet...stay tuned!
