In the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Bob Campbell reports, "Lubbock attorneys may help defend man accused in Odessa policemen's deaths."District Judge John G. Hyde said Wednesday that Midland attorneys Woody Leverett and Ray Fivecoat, representing 58-year-old Larry Neil White in the shooting deaths of OPD Cpls. Scott Gardner, Abel Marquez and Arlie Jones, have inquired about the Lubbock office's possible involvement. In the first such program in the state, there is a chance Midland, Amarillo and maybe Abilene will get their own satellite offices next year to keep small counties from being financially drained by capital murder cases, said state Sen. Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo.
