: Legal Pad | LACalifornia parents can home-school without credential, appeals court rules

California parents can home-school their children without a teaching credential, the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles ruled today, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. (here)
The decision in Jonathan L. vs. Superior Court is a reversal of it's Feb. 28 ruling that caused a national controversy by finding that parents need a teaching credential to home-school their children. The court agreed to reconsider, voiding their 3-0 decision.
New decisions rarely involve a change to the final conclusion, The National Law Journal reported (here).
