FTC lawyer joins MoFo's antitrust practice as partner

Gates Sean Gates joined Morrison & Foerster's Los Angeles office as a partner.

Gates was previously a deputy assistant director at the Federal Trade Commission, working in their anticompetitive practices division. He'll practice in MoFo's antitrust and competition law group.

Gates is on the editorial board of the ABA Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments and was editor-in-chief of the ABA Intellectual Property and Antitrust Handbook. Gates was also vice chair of the ABA's books & treatises committee and antitrust subcommittee on intellectual property law.
