TWIE recalls wireless indoor helicopters after reports of fire

Company received two reports of helicopters catching fire

On May 29, 2008, Tradewinds International Enterprises Inc. (TWIE) recalled about 152,000 ?Sky Champion? Wireless Indoor Helicopters after receiving two reports of the helicopters catching fire. The rechargeable battery inside the helicopter can catch fire, posing a fire or burn hazard to consumers.

Recalled helicopters come with a transmitter that controls and recharges the helicopter, which is made of foam and plastic and measures about 7 inches by 3 inches. The code ?BH26047? is printed on the tail of the helicopter, and ?WIC 551777? and the UPC code 630990006005 are printed on the packaging.

Walgreens stores nationwide sole the recalled ?Sky Champion? Wireless Indoor Helicopters from June 2007 through November 2007 for about $20.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop playing with the recalled TWIE helicopters and contact the company at 888-583-4908 for a refund. For more information, customers may also email TWIE.
