Council_john Texas Lawyer reporter John Council puts out the "Reversed and Remanded" video blog.  The day before the en banc argument in New Orleans last week John sat down with the Singletons' counsel arguing the appeal Martin Siegel of Houston and talked about the case.  The video blog is John's first "on the road" and can be found here. John's article on the case which appeared in the magazine itself can be found here.  The article notes a little-noted amicus brief filed in the case by fourteen law school civil procedure professors, led by  University of Houston's Lonny Hoffman which argues that appellate courts should not get into the business of micromanaging trial courts' 1404 decisions.  It also mentions amici filed supporting VW's position by a product manufacturers' group and two  railroads.
