US Supreme Court grants cert in 4 cases

ADVERTISEMENTS
The United States Supreme Court granted certiorari in four cases this afternoon. Scotusblog provides details on each: Davis v. Federal Election Commission Giles v. California Taylor v. Sturgell Enquist v. Or. Dept. of Agric. The only criminal case, Giles v. California, presents the issue of whether an accused person has a right to bar the testimony of a witness who is available for trial because the defendant killed her, but did not do so with the specific intent of precluding her testimony. The Confrontation Blog provides more details about the case. The cert. petition is available via The Confrontation Blog.
