Impeach The President

Or not. Whatever, seriously why change now.
Its not as if anyone doesn't know if they feel like knowing that Mr. Bush
approves of torture, dirty political tricks, and lying about national security matters.
And disapproves of doing anything.

I read a study once saying that Republicans have the highest life satisfaction of any group due to a lack of empathy. Clearly, we can create our own reality. That might sound facetious but it is true. As long as our world view doesn't subtract from our own lifestyle then then the most advantageous world view is the one we find most pleasant.

An impeachment now would serve no ends. It is true that an impeachment may be carried out once someone leaves office, that would be the only ideal in this case as no one would feel compelled to defend an ex-president. A close win or a failure to impeach will just give the neo-con forces more staying power.

All of which as a Memphis lawyer my life will not be overly affected by. Change is happening at the margins.
