: Ross-Blakley Law Library BlogThe Law Library of Congress: Online International Research Guides
By Amy Levine
The Law Library of Congress has many research resources that you may find useful. One guide provides information about online legal resources. There is a useful alphabetical list of countries throughout the world. The list links the user to a page that contains additional links to the law, government and more general information about a particular country. For example, I was recently asked for information about primary sources of law for Russia. I reviewed the alphabetical list on the Law Library of Congress website and clicked on the link for Russia. The library guide for Russia includes information about the constitution, branches of the Russian government, and also provides links to various other sources including economic and human rights organizations. There are links to other legal guides on Russian law available both on the Law Library of Congress site and other websites. Next time you need some international information put the Law Library of Congress on your list of sources to review.
