By Jason Siegel

ADVERTISEMENTS

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. settled the last of several lawsuits against it, claiming responsibility for poisoning water in Hinkley, Calif. as shown in the 2000 movie "Erin Brockovich."

PG&E agreed to pay $20 million to 104 people exposed to water contaminated with a possible carcinogen, in a settlement reached in Los Angeles last week.

The film "Erin Brockovich" was based on a 1996 case that ended with a $333 million settlement for 600 residents of the desert town. In 2006, PG&E agreed to pay a $295 million settlement to 1,100 people, according to the AP.
