03/23/11 ? Settlement Asset Management Sister Sites ? Structured Fees and Enhanced Structured Income

By Raúl

ADVERTISEMENTS

Settlement Asset Management, an Orlando, Florida company, has just launched two sister sites: Structured Fees and Enhanced Structure Income.

Settlement Asset Management (?SAM?) specializes in tax deferral strategies for lawyers.  Their experienced team can provide advice and options for achieving the most tax advantaged outcome for contingent legal fees. Two of those strategies are:

1. Structured Fees - Attorneys can do an ?attorney fee structure? with a portion or all of their contingent fees from any settlement.  An attorney fee structure is a pre-tax and tax-deferred investment vehicle exclusively for attorneys that earn contingent legal fees.  Fee structures are a great way to smooth out taxation of income and in some cases avoid application of the Alternative Minimum Tax.  Attorney fee structures offer the same types of flexible payment plans as structured settlements do for physical injury victims.  Lawyers can set up a fee structure to coincide with any type of future need (child entering college, wedding or retirement to name a few) or even to provide current cash flow for their firm.  Perhaps the most attractive part is that there are no limitations like there are with other regulated retirement plans (no maximum deferrals or minimum distribution age).

2. Enhanced Structured Income streams (sometimes referred to as ?ESI ??) are fixed structured settlement annuity payment rights that have been sold at a significant discount to a third party purchaser.  After the sale, the structured settlement annuity payment obligation remains in force and can be legally transferred to a new buyer through the purchase of ESI ? .  When ESI ? is purchased, the buyer is legally transferred the rights to future fixed structured settlement annuity payments in return for a one time lump sum investment.
