A Maryland jury has awarded $3.3 million in a lawsuit filed over the death of a woman who was killed by a motorist while walking down Pennsylvania Avenue. The lawsuit claimed the state was liable because it failed to install proper safety features on the road, such as guard rails. The suit claimed the death could have been prevented had there been guardrails installed. |
