Recently, tried Fino?s on the Hill at 1853 madison. Thinking it was an Italian restaurant that was never open for real business, I?ve never tried the place. Drove by and noticed it was open (mb just not good at turning sign on).


Went in and found a busy Italian grocery in the style of Central Grocery in New Orleans. The deli seemed to be theplace and I was impressed with the selection. I got a half order of mushroom pasta special and some sort of Italianish sub variation.


The sub was excellent with first quality luncheon meats and near perfect baguette bread. Best sub in Memphis so far I believe.


The mushroom pasta was solid but not great. The mushrooms seemed canned.
