Reviewed Old Venice Pizza company, an old standby from Oxford days that has opened a location in Memphis. Across from the Davis Kid Old Venice is located in an imposing building with few windows.

The inside is quite nice, but a little spartan, with a soaring roof. The waitresses all looked like authentic Ole Miss Sorority Girls, just like back in law school . Definitely trying to stay to the roots.

Succumbed to temptation and ordered cheesesticks. Lately, I haven't been able to find any satisfying cheesesticks with most being excessively small and non cheesy. Frequently not even crisp which considering the health value is a real crime as anything that bad had better be really good.

Old venice finally satisfied my craving for fried cheesiness with big logs of mozzarella with a savory batter well done. Grade A cheese.

Got the veal parm for the entree. Okay. A fair bit too thick and dense. Would have been better done well.

Overall, a solid Italian place. Still need to try the pizza sometime.
