Patent Law

The San Francisco office of Morgan Lewis, an international law firm with nearly 1,300 attorneys in 22 offices, is seeking to hire a Patent Agent with at least 3 years experience. The candidate must have a minimum of a B.S. degree with strong academic credentials and technical experience in life sciences (biochemistry, molecular biology, or pharmaceuticals preferred). Advanced degree and prior industry experience are preferred. The candidate must be a registered Patent Agent or be qualified to sit for the Patent Bar.

The candidate must be able to assume significant client responsibilities, and provide high quality services to domestic and foreign clients. The candidate must have experience in responding to USPTO and foreign patent office actions and drafting patent applications and must possess excellent writing, verbal and research abilities. They must be able to communicate with various personalities at all levels of clients (both internal and external clients), management and staff.
