: Impartial IncWhat does your email address say about you?
There are many clever user names/ addresses out there. For instance, tooting my own horn mine reads RBLWAC, which means Rebel With A Cause. For those of you who don?t know my given name is Rebel and I?m an avid volunteer. I pursue many different causes and always try to do whatever I can for them. So instead of the cliché Rebel Without A Cause, I?ve got one! If you have a name that says something positive about you or shows you in a cute and non offensive way you?ve got a winner of user name/ address.
My concern is for all those business professionals and individuals who wish to be successful, but portray themselves in a negative light through their email/ user name. For instance, if your user name/ address reads IDISYA, SNAKEOIL, IHATEPEEPS, you are definitely sending the wrong message about yourself. Chances are you were in a very bad mood when you chose your name. Now the day has come when you are running a business or looking for work and using this account. What do you think your name instantly says to your perspective job? It SCREAMS run away from this person quickly. Probably, not the response you are looking for. Maybe, it?s time for a change.
No matter if we are looking for work or simply enjoying emails with friends and family our name choice tells a lot about who we are as a person. Wisely choose the name that best describes you as a person in the most positive light you can. You will find that by putting yourself in a positive light, positive results will quickly follow.
