: Cleveland Law Library WeblogRound 2 Opens for Comments on Access to Ohio Court Records
By Cleveland Law Library
The Ohio Supreme Court has begun Round 2 of a public comment period on proposed amendments to the Superintendence Rules governing access to court records. Click here to read the proposed changes, which would add Rules 44 through 47. Some of the proposed changes would make court records public unless sealed or otherwise cloaked with limited public access. Other changes would require partial redaction or complete omission of personal identifiers like social security numbers, bank account numbers, and other data that could be used in identity theft. All comments are due by September 17th.
