: Cleveland Law Library WeblogParticipating in the CLEVNET Library Consortium Pays Off for Patrons
By Cleveland Law Library
A brand new ROI (Return on Investment) Study confirms the benefits of being a member of CLEVNET, a regional library consortium which includes 31 libraries in 11 different counties in Northern Ohio. The study showed that CLEVNET's 27 public libraries collectively saved $30 million and that the average return for every dollar invested in CLEVNET was 6:1. Resource sharing, central cataloging and tech support all contribute to better and more economical service for CLEVNET's library patrons. Although the Cleveland Law Library is not a public library, we reap many benefits from being member of CLEVNET, including joint cataloging, internet and email access, and the collective purchase of selected databases to supplement the research needs of our patrons. Click here to read a press release on the new study.
