I spent much of Memorial Day on a song about the sacrifice made by those who go to war and those left behind: O Danny Boy. As my last post stated, I stumbled into the song while messing around in E-minor pentatonic. So I worked up the melody in that key, or rather its major-key counterpart, G-major. That was a few days ago. Today I tried to figure out some chords for guitar accompaniment, again in the key of G-major. Here?s what I came up with, in Word and PDF.
