My mom is doing better -- to get into the details would be an ordeal -- but a few hours after my previous post, we got a call saying she was going back into surgery, after a complication from the first surgery -- and the whole thing was certainly much more of an event than it seemed like it would be.  Fortunately, she's home, and recuperating -- the kind thoughts in the comments and e-mails were certainly appreciated.

I'm sending a new draft of an Anonymous Lawyer screenplay to my manager in the morning, excited about it, feeling like maybe I've finally cracked the code.  Writing some other stuff, but nothing worth talking about.

Happy Passover to anyone who's celebrating -- I've eaten almost a dozen macaroons in the past three days.  Tried making charoset this afternoon.  It definitely looks like paste, which is supposed to be a good thing from a symbolic standpoint, but I wish it looked more like food.
