After hearing rumors that some of the major "cash now pushers" were pulling out of deals due to the current financial crisis I received a fax that appears to remove all doubt.

While I was initially suspect about the letter due to the bold type circled in bold at the bottom, I verified the following

1. Dan Litzinger DOES work for JG Wentworth by calling the 800 number listed on the letter. While I was on hold i was subjected to the fat lady with horns singing about "cash now".
2. Through some sleuthing I was able to reach the spouse of the Florida addressee who verified that her husband HAD BEEN dealing with Dan Litzinger of JG Wentworth. It was my understanding that this was no longer the case.
3. Found another letter posted on the Internet site "J.G. Wentworth Sucks-The Real Story" addressed to another claimant by Richard "Rick" M. Connelly with a similar back out. Connelly is the General Counsel of JG Wentworth.
4. I am no friend of JG Wentworth, however, just as when there was digitial diarrhea swirling around about a certain big insurer in the last week, it is important to keep things in perspective. While the funds for these deals are tight FOR NOW, normal "service" is likely to resume in due course. Oh joy!
