Robert Ostrov has won the Democratic primary for Florida District 87 and the "cash now pushers" are one step closer to having one of their own in a seat in the Florida Legislature.

Isn't this "wonderful" news for tort victims, members of Florida Justice Association? 

Those Florida licensed settlement planners and structured settlement brokers who are not "on the take" from factoring companies should consider informing their clients of the significance of Ostrov's candidacy. As cynical as the statement may sound, Ostrov's company, Structured Asset Funding ( a/k/a 123 Lump Sum) has common ownership with Bentzen Funding Solutions. Bentzen has stated that she receives most of her business from the structured settlement industry and that 90% of them receive what amount to be "kickbacks" from Bentzen as an incentive to refer business.

There is an opportunity here for strategic thinkers to make a visible impact and dispel the trouble started by Rhonda Bentzen's disclosure of the extent of her offering and payment of kickbacks to structured settlement professionals and her defense of this practice.
