Tomorrow I give the keynote at the School Library Journal 2010 Leadership Summit and I am really looking forward to it.

I’ve been involved in a great number of initiatives that attempt to help the next generation succeed at levels higher than ever before. That should always be our goal and we should never admit failure. We must find the energy and the will and advocate for the funds to make a difference.

I love this new video from Sir Ken Robinson. Please take 11 minutes and watch it.

RSA Animate – Changing Education Paradigms

I love his emphasis on creativity and the relationship of divergent thinking from creativity and the ultimate goals of education. It aligns so well with the value system and objectives and vision of libraries – when the choose to achieve their full potential.
