Shinderman joins Milbank

Milbank, Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP announced last week that Mark Shinderman has joined the firm as a partner.  He will be a member of the Firm?s Financial Restructuring Group, resident in the Los Angeles office.  Previously, Mr. Shinderman was a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and head of the firm?s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department.

Mr. Shinderman?s experience focuses on restructuring companies inside and outside of bankruptcy, bankruptcy-related litigation, and the purchase of assets out of bankruptcy. He represents creditors? committees, debtors, purchasers of assets from troubled companies, key vendors, and other important constituencies. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, bondholders, and hedge funds throughout the country.

Mr. Shinderman received his law degree from Harvard Law School (cum laude), and his B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University (summa cum laude). He is a member of the Los Angeles Bar Association, Financial Lawyers Conference, Panel of Bankruptcy Mediators, California Bankruptcy Forum, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Currently, he serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Students Run L.A., a non-profit organization that provides after school services for 3,000 at-risk youth annually.
