: Legal Pad | LAProsecution drops 28 charges against Pellicano, 35 still to go
By Jason Siegel
Prosecutors dropped 28 charges against former P.I. to the stars Anthony Pellicano and co-defendant Mark Arneson today, the Associated Press reported.
Pellicano, who is accused of illegally wiretapping opponents of his powerful clients, originally faced 107 federal charges with four others, KNBC reported.
Prosecutors said they requested dropping 28 of the charges against Pellicano and Arneson, a former LAPD sergeant, because some the alleged victims weren't available to testify and some counts were redundant.
They still face more than 35 counts.
