: Effective, Ethical Marketing For AttorneysMundane Tasks Can Be Accomplished Through Batching
By Ben Glass
As an attorney, you have certain mundane tasks and paperwork that you have to tackle on a regular basis. Not only do have to get your work done, you have to document what you have finished and how you have done it. What is so frustrating is that these types of activities don't really help you reach your goals, but you can't ignore them either. So, what do you do?
The solution is batching. This technique can really help you save time. Batching refers to setting aside a particular date and time for these tasks. Maybe you set aside time during each day, week or month. You just need to determine what time period would best help you get these things completed.
The ideal situation is to allocate the same time and day, such as 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM every Friday or the last weekday of the month. You will find that when you assign a certain time to these tasks, they won't weigh on your mind so heavily. No more thought or worry will have to be put into it, because you already know when you will get the work complete.
