I still care

ADVERTISEMENTS
Confession: it is 3L fall. And I still care.
I care about my grades and I care about reading assignments.
I still cling to the notion that maybe if I do well enough on my exams, I'll be ok.
Like, good grades will somehow translate into a job I'll enjoy.
Or good grades will justify my foray into law school in the first place.
Or good grades will justify the time I spent away from my child and husband.
Or good grades now will erase the stain of some of the bad grades on my transcript.
You'd think I'd be mostly over all that by now. Like these guys.
You'd be mostly wrong.
