Self-doubt

Yeah, for a law student blog, there has been a conspicuous lack of law school bitching lately.

So my thoughts on my externship.

I am not smart enough to do this.

No, really. I am in a position where I am evaluating legal arguments and making recommendations that have impact on real people in the real world, and there is no controlling authority on the propositions I am examining. I feel like I haven't researched enough, haven't read enough, haven't thought enough, haven't learned enough ... but its all I've been doing.

I feel like anyone else could do this faster or better than I can, that if I asked anyone else the answer would be so obvious to them but it just eludes me

because

I am not smart enough to do this.

Terrified.
