: TJ's Double PlaySchool's out forever
We love when professors cancel class. It's like a snow day, only now we can play beer pong. What's not so great is when your professor cancels the class on the first day of classes. Which would be fine for a debilitating disease or loss of a loved one or, you know, a hedge fund.
Dear Agency & Partnership students:
I am writing to inform you that I am canceling the Agency & Partnership class for this semester. Over the weekend, I was offered an opportunity to work as a consultant for the in-house legal department of a large hedge fund, which as you might imagine is facing some difficult times. After much soul-searching, I discussed the matter with Dean Jeffries and requested a leave for the semester to pursue this exciting opportunity, which he graciously granted. I very much regret the last minute nature of this decision and the impact it will have on you. I wish I could have resolved this matter much earlier, but I was only contacted about it last week. I hope you will understand and accept my decision, for which I take full responsibility.
Those poor hedge funds. Someone has to do something.
