Merry Christmas!!

Every time I think that I should seriously think about leaving Useless City for a new adventure we have a day like we had yesterday: It snowed the night of the 23rd, so I was treated to the spectacular view of the stunning white mountains sitting above a town dusted in snow against a clear bright blue sky as I drove home to the parentals for Christmas Eve festivities. Those are the days when I'm reminded why I stay here, it's a beautiful city and although they cause me much grief at times it is nice to be in the same city as the rest of my family.

My mom made my most favorite chicken dish for Christmas Eve dinner, and she let me play bartender in the kitchen so I made my new favorite drink for everyone: Bailey's and Hot Chocolate. So delicious! Then it was on to opening the presents (my family has always opened presents on Christmas Eve). For the first time in months I slept 10.5 hours last night, it's amazing what coming down off a sugar/adrenaline/alcohol high will do for sleeping.

And now that it's Christmas morning it's time for my Mom's famous french toast followed by a day of letting my little sis beat me at Nintendo Wii :-)
