Law Students
: Shelley’s CaseMark of a Warrior
By shell
I was registering for an event at the SBA office and was about to identify myself when the law student in charge of the event said, “You are a 3L, right?” The charge surprised me, especially since I do not know this particular law student, and I do not spend enough time around law school this semester to be easily recognized.
Was it my expression that gave it away? Was it the dark circles under my eyes? The Argh, I am Dreading the Bar Exam expression? Or perhaps is it due to my lack of presence around law school? I did not get around to figuring out the answer. Frankly, I was too weary to ask any questions and all too ready to take off with the complimentary cupcake.
In unrelated news, I have been working on several projects, including the final externship project and a grant proposal. Even with my writing experience, I find it challenging to write for a different audience. Sometimes, I get sick and tired of writing and took several breaks in between different assignments. Now that Spring is finally here (after several false starts), I am taking full advantage of the fair weather and going outside whenever I can.
